  • Allen Douglass, a native of Cass County, Indiana, brings over three decades of experience in the grain and commodity industry. He graduated from Purdue University in 1987 with a degree in Agricultural Economics.

    Allen began his career at Continental Grain, working at the company’s export terminal in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. There, he originated grain into the Chicago processing market as well as facilities along the upper Illinois River and mid-Mississippi regions. He later held a brief role with a country elevator in southeast Indiana before joining Archer Daniels Midland (ADM).

    At ADM, Allen worked in the soy processing division, with roles at facilities in Fredonia, Kansas, and Galesburg, Illinois. After five years at ADM, he joined CountryMark Co-op in Indianapolis. Starting in member-based origination, he quickly advanced to trading grain in the Southeast U.S. less-than-train market. He ultimately managed CountryMark’s 250-million-bushel soybean position, which involved facility oversight, member sales, truck logistics, and rail and barge merchandising.

    When ADM acquired CountryMark’s assets, Allen transitioned into commercial risk management with the company’s trading house. In 2001, he was recruited by FCStone (now StoneX) to establish and lead their Indianapolis office. There, he built the office from the ground up, serving a broad client base including large producers, grain elevators, end users, ethanol producers, and food companies.

    On April 1, Allen was named President of Orchard Point Commodities.

    He currently serves on the board of directors for the National Grain and Feed Association (NGFA) and has completed two terms on the board of the Southeastern Grain and Feed Association. An active supporter of 4-H, Allen now lives on the family farm outside of Logansport, Indiana, with his wife Tonya. They have four children and six grandchildren.

  • Andrew Keighin is an accomplished agricultural professional with over 15 years of experience, primarily at Archer Daniels Midland Company (ADM). He has held various positions, managing truck and barge trades, containerized grains and oilseed trades, and overseeing North American bulk export corn trade. Andrew has also represented ADM on the NGFA Risk Committee board and the CFTC Ag-OI Subcommittee.

    In 2021, he joined PNT Financial, excelling in futures and options trading. Now at Orchard Point, Andrew's extensive expertise in trade management and risk analysis makes him a valuable team member and trusted advisor for clients. His tailored strategies help businesses navigate the dynamic agricultural sector, mitigate risks, and seize growth opportunities.

    Andrew lives in Bloomington, IL, with his wife and three daughters, enjoying family time and community involvement.

  • Caleb is a driven agricultural commodity broker at Orchard Point with experience from Advance Trading Inc. He has quickly made a significant impact in the industry through his work ethic and dedication. Outside of work, Caleb farms in Lafayette, IL, deepening his industry knowledge and connection to the agricultural community. He actively participates in the National Grain and Feed Association (NGFA) Committee Apprenticeship Program, demonstrating his commitment to professional growth. At Orchard Point, Caleb's expertise and passion make him a valuable team member, providing top-notch agricultural risk management and consulting services to clients.

  • Dalton Grossmann is a seasoned commodity trader and risk management executive with over 15 years of experience in the agricultural industry. Starting his career at Archer Daniels Midland Company (ADM) in 2006, he held various roles in risk management and executive positions, managing billions of pounds of corn-derived sweeteners and contributing hundreds of millions of dollars in annual operating profits. His experience spans global trade for corn processing, container trade, and cash grain positions.

    Dalton also served as a General Manager in the GROWMARK Grain system and was a respected member of the US Grains Council A-Team. Today, he brings his wealth of expertise to our team, ensuring tailored risk management solutions for clients.

    Outside work, Dalton is a dedicated husband and father of five, living in Bloomington, IL.

  • Dean Durdan is a seasoned professional with a 20-year career in diverse roles within the agricultural industry, primarily at Archer Daniels Midland Company (ADM). His experience encompasses export facilities, cash grain risk management, and energy risk management for ADM's North American assets.

    As the former General Manager of ADM Corn Risk, Dean expertly managed flat price, calendar spread, and basis risk, maximizing trading opportunities on nearly a billion bushels of annual usage. A former member of the Illinois Grain and Feed Association, Dean remains an influential figure in the agricultural sector.

    Dean brings his extensive expertise and proven track record to our team, ensuring clients benefit from his deep understanding of the industry. He lives in Champaign, IL, with his wife and two daughters, balancing a successful career and a fulfilling family life.

  • Nick Fitzgerald is an accomplished commodity broker and risk management consultant, bringing a wealth of experience to Orchard Point. Previously at Advance Trading, Inc., Nick focused on physical commodity hedging and risk management for clients across various industries. His client-centric approach has made him a trusted partner, even assisting clients in sourcing key personnel and trading managers.

    With a diverse background at Archer Daniels Midland Company (ADM), Nick has developed expertise in trading and procuring for corn plants, biodiesel plants, river export facilities, and trading US railways.

    At Orchard Point, Nick's industry knowledge and dedication ensure clients receive exceptional service. Outside work, he enjoys spending time with his daughter in Bloomington, IL.

  • Sean Miller is a veteran agricultural industry expert with 30 years of experience, primarily at Archer Daniels Midland Company (ADM). He has held various roles, overseeing North American soybean and ethanol exports, beverage and industrial ethanol, and CBOT delivery for grains. Sean's strong leadership skills are evident in his managerial positions in corn processing, trading, soybean processing, and elevator management.

    Before founding Orchard Point Commodities and Orchard Point Partners, Sean worked with BioUrja, overseeing their beverage and industrial ethanol business. His vast experience, expertise, and long-standing industry relationships have shaped his successful career and impact in the field.

Energy Group

  • Joel Williams has over two decades of experience in commodities trading, primarily focusing on biofuels, ethanol, RINs, grain and energy trading. His tenure at major institutions has added layers of expertise and depth to his understanding of various commodities markets.

    While at Archer Daniels Midland Company (ADM), Joel was the manager of ethanol trading, optimizing strategies for large-scale ethanol sales, margin management, and arbitrage. His contributions at Gunvor USA LLC were marked by the establishment of their pioneering ethanol trade desk, where he also expanded efforts in exports, blending, biodiesel, RINs, and LCFS.

    In addition, Joel has experience in various grain elevator networks, arbitrage, proprietary trading, international business, and risk management. 

    Joel is currently serving as a broker and consultant at Orchard Point, Joel's vast experience in grains, biofuels and energy trading becomes an invaluable asset. His comprehensive understanding aids Orchard Point clients in navigating the dynamic grain and energy market landscapes.

  • Mark Anderson has a decade of experience in commodity trading, with a primary focus on ethanol, RINs, and grains. He spent the majority of his career at Flint Hills Resources, where he marketed and sold the full production output of their plants. In addition to selling ethanol, he also oversaw the procurement of ethanol for their refining business.

    Mark possesses strong knowledge of financial markets, having traded both ethanol and corn. He has developed strategies for hedging margins and protecting against risks in backward markets.

    Mark is currently serving as a broker at Orchard Point, leveraging his experience in both physical and financial markets.

  • Josh is an experienced professional with over 20 years in the energy and ag commodities sectors with a strong background in trading, asset management, and ethanol brokerage.

    Josh started his career at ADM in various roles in both merchandising and grain origination in Decatur, IL and Columbus, OH. He later joined American Electric Power(AEP), holding roles in real-time and cash trading of electricity across various ISOs (ERCOT, PJM, MISO) as well as asset management for generation plants in Texas, including coal, natural gas, and wind facilities.

    Most recently Josh served as Senior Vice President for 8 years at RJO'Brien, where he helped build and lead the BioFuels division, brokering financial and physical ethanol.

    He resides in Houston, TX with his wife and two daughters.
